Meet The Designers

Terry : Lead Designer

Terry has over 10 years of varied experience in the design field. Her specialties included website design using hand coded HTML, CSS, PHP, and javascript as well as ad design and layout. She believes that design has no boundaries.

She has been designing websites since 1997. Her fascination with websites and the internet prompted her to explore how it all worked. She is self-taught. She read tutorial after tutorial online for HTML, Javascript, CSS, and dHTML. She bought HTML books and java books. She read until she couldn't read anymore and she practiced designing for hours on end.

Terry says she dreams in HTML. She dream about new designs and when she wakes up is compelled to sit down and code them out. She hand codes every site she creates using notepad and her memory. She wouldn't do it any other way. She says that creativity is a gift to be cherished. Design is her passion.

She bought her first personal domain in 1998...blurred.org. She took a small break in 1999 but says she was drawn to the world of code and graphics. As a birthday gift for her 23rd birthday her best friend bought her another domain.

She has been actively creating websites and all types of graphic images since then. With the start of Sassy Designs in May, 2002 she began to expand her design capabilities. She began branching out into print design - creating greeting cards, brochures, postcards, and business cards.

To date she has developed numerous brochures, logos, flyers, postcards, and business cards, as well as larger-scale print projects that includes tabloids, catalogs, newsletters, and large-scale graphics.

She takes each project she works on as far as her imagination and skill allow her to. She is constantly learning more and trying new things.

Scott : Graphic Artist

Scott was born to be creative. He has a natural ability to draw anything, from cartoons to portraits, to abstract ideas. He's had a pencil in his hand since he was old enough to hold one and he is rarely seen without a sketch book in his lap.

In the 1980's he began creating the first street art, or graffiti art - long before it was even recognized as an art form. He perfected his style and ability and that opened the door for him to enter into the world of tattooing, which he began doing in the late 1990's.

When Scott was just 15 years old he was hired by Congressman Dennis Kucinich's campaign team to design election posters and advertisements. He can work with all mediums - pen, pencil, paint - and can turn any idea into a masterpiece.

Once the digital age came about he began experimenting with the latest software - like Photoshop and Illustrator. While he realizes the ease and possibilities that these programs offer he likes to keep with what he knows best; a pencil and a sketch book.

Scott has helped to develop logos and advertising campaigns for Sassy Designs. His creativity is very apparent and his style lends a unique touch that our customers love.
