It has been about a year exactly since I made the decision to move Sassy Designs, Ltd. away from website design and into digital design to support professional photographers. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with THOUSANDS of you in helping you brand your business, extend your brand across your marketing materials and website, and enrich your custom design offerings for your clients.
I have said this many times, but I have to say it again, I have the best fans and customers a girl could ever dream of and I am so thankful and honored that you have trusted me to create or embellish your business identity and depended on me to bring you digital goodies that you can wow your customers with.

Well, the year is officially half over -- how did that happen?!
As you may have heard I am taking a break from custom orders until sometime in the fall. Don't let that discourage you from contacting me though! Hard to believe June is almost over! We celebrated my son's 4th birthday this week -- time is just flying by!! I hope everyone's summer is off to a great start!
I am officially booked through July with custom orders and I will be taking a break until this fall. I have a huge "idea list" and I want to focus on getting my ideas out of my head and into the Sassy Shop! So, stay tuned for LOTS of new items and soon!
I've also got some great promotions and giveaways planned -- so, be sure to check in on the Facebook fan page on a regular basis so you don't miss out! Also, just a friendly reminder -- all sales, specials, promotions, and giveaways end in EASTERN time as that is where my office and my web servers are located. Well, we made it safely to Daytona Beach and the offices of Sassy Designs are operating almost business as usual. :) I've taken some extra time off to enjoy family time, the beach, and sight-seeing, but I've still been able to manage to get a couple new items in the shop and work on some custom orders, too!

Well, the month of May was a whirlwind! We had the big Sassy Birthday Bash Celebration - celebrating 8 years of business!! THANK YOU to all of myr family, friends, loyal customers, and supporting fans for standing behind me, spreading the word, and keeping the inspiration coming!! Sassy Designs wouldn't be here without YOU!!!
June is going to be another busy month for Sassy! We're going on the road to visit some family we haven't seen in awhile and meet the newest addition (she just celebrated her first birthday so we're thankful we get to see her before she graduates from high school!), so for a couple of weeks the office of Sassy Designs will be operating out of Daytona Beach, FL! I'll still be accessible via email/phone/the fan page and will respond just about as quickly as when it's business as usual so please do not hesitate to get in touch should you have a question, an issue, an idea, or a custom order request! I'd love to hear from you!
I'm currently booking custom projects for July. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
The new shopping cart will be going LIVE tomorrow afternoon/evening!! This has been a long time coming and I am so excited! The new cart will offer INSTANT DOWNLOAD LINKS which is a hugely exciting thing for me! Since I have opened my shop I have been uploading orders manually as they came in - which meant that when I was swamped or on weekends it would sometimes take quite a few hours for me to get orders processed and download links emailed off. The new shopping cart will alleviate that step making it a better shopping experience for you while freeing up some time for me so I can create more things!

Wow! January was a complete whirlwind! Photoshop has been running practically 24/7 in my office while I crank out the latest custom design orders. I've managed to find bits of time to whip up some new goodies for the shop, too - but no time to get the shop updated with them!
Speaking of this shop of mine - the new shopping cart is in production!! I am happy to share the news that it has been successfully installed and configured and I am now in the process of adding all of the Sassy Designs goodies to the product catalog! I'm hoping to launch the new shop soon and I've got some great specials in store for you!
I'm also teaming up with Leah Stimmel again of Go4Pro Photography - she'll be creating some fabulous FREE goodies using one of my paper packs! Make sure you keep an eye on her site for the download! Next month I'm collaborating again with the girls of the Sketchy Thursdays scrapbooking blog. I'm whipping up a BRAND NEW mini kit just for this event. Since it will be during my birthday week it's going to be a birthday/party themed kit of digital goodies! After its debut on the ST blog it will be in the shop for all of you to enjoy!

Happy new year! I hope everyone had a great time bringing in 2010 and starting a new decade!! Can you believe it?!
My year is off to a busy start! I have a long list of new things I'm working on for the shop and I'm back to accepting custom orders for digital papers, logo design, marketing design- anything you may need!! So, if you're in need of some fresh digital goodies customized to your business to start 2010 off right let me know! Right now I am booked through the end of January and looking at early February as a turn-around time for custom orders placed today and after.
2009 was a total success thanks to all of you! I was actually so busy between November and December that I didn't have a chance to keep both the shop here and the Etsy shop updated with the new stuff I created. I've made a decision to phase out the Etsy shop and plan to have it closed up by the end of February. I know this will make some of you sad, but I just don't have the time to keep everything updated so I have to cut out what I can! A HUGE thank you to everyone that shopped on Etsy and I am so thankful to have met all of you - I do hope you'll stick with me during the transition!!
There are some fun new things planned for this website. I have a new shopping cart being configured and installed. The change should go live March 1st if everything goes as planned. What does this mean for you? Even easier shopping and more user friendly navigation, instant download links! so instead of waiting on me to get your things uploaded you will receive a link right after placing your order, and coupon codes!!! I will be able to create coupon codes when I want to have a sale - instead of being required to recreate each individual Paypal button with the sale price!! You'll still be able to pay with Paypal since that is the most preferred method of payment - so it will be an easy experience and more user friendly, too! Of course you'll still get my personal customer service should you need anything or have any questions - but this change will free up so much more of time so I will be able to create even more new things for the shop for all of you to enjoy!!

Well, it is official! I am a married woman! The wedding was perfect, I only cried a little bit, and we were gifted a honeymoon so I was forced to take a break from work for a few days!
I'm done playing catch-up and now it's back to business! I'll be resuming taking custom orders in the next couple of weeks. I've already got some new ones lined up for January so if you're interested in a custom design project drop me a line so we can discuss it! I'm looking at turn-around times of mid to late January as of today.
I know Valentine's Day is the next big holiday for all of you photogs so I'm working on some Valentine's Day themed papers and card templates. I've also been giving away a lot of freebies for the holiday season so I hope you've been enjoying them! For those of you that don't yet know I am getting married this Sunday, December 13th! I am excited and have been super busy planning even though it is just going to be a small, intimate affair. I can't wait and I will be sure to share photos from the day with all of you! I've already been pondering the design of the wedding announcements!
I'm finishing up the last of the custom orders for 2009 and looking forward to a very creative 2010! I've got lots of new projects on my idea list that I'm hoping to get around to getting out of my head! 2009 has been a whirlwind and I seem to have almost run out of time!

Almost Thanksgiving! I'm recovering from having an awful cold and two severe ear infections. I was out of commission for about a week so now I am playing catch up!
I've been busy working on the last of the custom orders for 2009. I'm taking a break from custom design until after January 1, 2010 so that I can focus my energy on getting some of my ideas off of my "idea list" and into the shop! Check back frequently for new items - I have big plans for new digital paper packs, new card templates, and the much-anticipated launch of my 4x8 card template line! I was actually hoping to have launched that line already but with the rush of custom orders and my week-long illness it had to get pushed back. I know many of you have been anxiously awaiting its arrival and I hate to disappoint, but thank you for your patience! I promise it will be worth the wait!

November already?! WOW! Hope you all had a happy Halloween! I've got some good and exciting news to share with all of you!
I've been commissioned by Jennifer Drake of local online retail business Fun and Sassy Designs out of Ashland, OH. I will be designing an exclusive collection of 20 card templates for her online shop. The collection will debut in January 2010!
I've also teamed up with Diane Zarlingo, owner of Mama and Me Spa & Boutique in Youngstown, OH. Diane is an official retailer of Sassy Designs, Ltd. card templates! She will be offering them to her clientele and will be doing all of the customizations, just as you photographers do for your clients. I love supporting and partnering with fellow women business owners - locally or globally! Stay tuned for an official press release on our partnership!
I've been busy working on a bunch of custom digital paper packs! I've enjoyed meeting everyone and working with you all to create digital goodies that you can use to coordinate with your existing branding and bring all of your business collateral together with a cohesive look. I am going to be taking some time off from custom orders as of November 15th. I will be traveling for the holidays and I have a long list of new items I want to work on to stock the shop with! So, now is the time to get your custom order in if you want to receive your items before the end of 2009. The midnight oil has been burning overtime here! The response to my custom paper design has been amazing and the feedback has been wonderful! I'm having so much fun meeting everyone and making beautiful things that coordinate with their existing image and exceed their expectations. The Sassy Designs website has been so busy with traffic that on Friday, October 16th, it went down for a few hours because I exceeded the bandwidth! Thank goodness I have the BEST hosting company around and it was fixed up quickly! I've beefed up my hosting plan as well so that should not happen again!
This week I'll be finalizing a few custom sets and working on a couple of logo designs. I have a long list of ideas for new items to go in the shop so keep your eyes peeled! The holidays are closer than we think so be sure to stock up on card templates to offer to your clients with their print orders!

I know the team over at BCP said they loved my designs and design elements; I just never knew exactly how much! What a great way to show others just how versatile they are, too!! I decided to switch gears about this time in June and change the course of my business to focus less on website design and more on designs for the digital photography world and digital scrapbooking world. I then spent a few weeks designing card templates and digital papers to get this new venture rolling.
I re-launched the company website in July complete with an online store and a good number of items for sale. I opened up an Etsy shop to get more exposure, created a Twitter account, created a fan page on Facebook, and started a Flickr group to showcase the items I was creating.
Since then I have been VERY busy! The response to this new venture has been overwhelming! I have been commissioned for custom designs for everything from business cards and digital papers to Twitter backgrounds and blog headers. The feedback from the customers and fans has been very complimentary and is what has kept me going so strong!
I again want to personally thank you all so much for your patronage, your loyalty, your shout outs and referrals. I have had the opportunity to meet and work with some very talented and awesome people and to build some new business relationships. You are the biggest asset to this company - which wouldn't be here without you!
