I understand how frustrating it can be for all of you when you miss an INSANE Sassy Sale. During the insane sales, which I do rather frequently, the Sassy Site gets 30,000+ hits per HOUR! That's more than enough to crash ANY server! Yesterday alone the site had over 530,000 HITS!
Now think about how frustrating it might be for me to be immediately bombarded with comments, emails, and phone calls when something like that happens. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to respond to each of you individually about the same issue, so I am addressing it here.
First, some tips for having the shopping experience you dream of:
Don't come late to the party. The site gets slammed the hardest the closer it gets to the end because everyone is trying to add things to their carts 60 seconds before the sale ends. This is a bad idea and almost guarantees you will miss out.
Try to start the checkout process as early as you can but no less than 30 minutes before the sale end time. The sooner you start checking out the more likely it will be a success.
Be prepared. Your shopping cart on the Sassy Site is PERMANENT and will be saved until you purchase the items or remove them. The key: be sure you are logged in when shopping and adding to your cart! Coming THIS WEEK: a wishlist feature so you can save items there, too!
Some additional details:
All sales end at 11:59pm EASTERN time on the date specified. Sassy Designs and the server are on the east coast! Sales are not extended to accommodate other time zones. I always clearly state that everything begins and ends in EST.
For the record, I do not take the site down to end a sale. Everything is automated by the cart and is scheduled according to Eastern time.
If the site crashes there isn't much I can do either because nobody can get to it, usually including me. Planning ahead and checking out before the last seconds of the will help alleviate the traffic jams!
I know it may seem that I work 24-hours a day but, I really don't. ;)
If you receive duplicate order confirmations please double check your Paypal account to verify that only one payment was processed before emailing to ask for a refund. If there was a double payment you'll also get double receipts from Paypal, too!
In the event you receive a Paypal receipt but, no order confirmation from the Sassy Site - please log into your account at sassy-designs.net to see if the order is there. If it is not then please email me so that I can process a refund.
If you miss one sale just stick around for the next-usually isn't too long between them! I am VERY generous and giving to my fans and customers because I am grateful to have you all. Please don't sour my gratitude by being ungrateful.

We've been celebrating the Incorporation of Sassy Designs for the past week and now we're gearing up for the next big change! The DEDICATED SERVER is coming!!!!!
Since the big server crash of 2010's Christmas in July sale we (my IT tem and I) have been working on finding just the right dedicated server that would be able to support the load during big sale times and the almost constant downloading of purchases. I am happy to say we have found it and are just about ready to do the switch!
Unfortunately, this is going to require the Sassy Site and Shop to come down for a few days. The shop is currently scheduled to be CLOSED starting on THURSDAY, September 2, 2010 THROUGH Saturday, September 5, 2010.
If anything changes I will be posting updates on the Sassy Designs fan page. If you aren't yet a fan head on over there now and become one so you don't miss out!! I'm also planning a pretty big SALE upon the re-opening of the site and shop so we can give the new server a good test and see just how well it holds up!
I again want to thank all of you for your support, friendship, and patronage - it really means the world to me!

It's has been BUSY behind the scenes here at Sassy Designs!! Lots of good things are happening - including a dedicated server arriving SOON! But, more on that later!
The biggest news is that Sassy Designs, Ltd. is becoming Sassy Designs Incorporated!!!!! WOW! It has been a lot of hard work to get this far, but I couldn't have done it without YOU!!!
Over the next few weeks I'll be updating the website with the new logo, and making sure every instance of 'Sassy Designs, Ltd.' has been replaced with 'Sassy Designs Incorporated'. Please bear with me during the transition!!
What does all of this mean for you? Not much really - the website will still be at the same web address, the shop will still be open, and I will still be at my computer designing new goodies for you!
The new dedictaed server will be going into place (hopefully) at the end of August. I will have to shut the site down for a couple of days while the transition happens but, I promise when it comes back it will be bigger and better and we will celebrate in typical Sassy Style!!
Thsi week, through Friday August 21st, you can use the code CHANGE in the shop to get 50% OFF YOUR PURCHASE!!!! This INCLUDES the marketing kits and pre-designed logos -- so enjoy it while it's here!! I'll be announcing more celebratory specials soon so keep your eyes on the fan page!!!

Sassy Designs, Ltd. celebrated EIGHT successful years in May 2010. I want to send a huge THANK YOU to all customers, friends, and family for making Sassy Designs, Ltd. a success. Your support, patronage, and friendship mean the world to me!
It has been about a year exactly since I made the decision to move Sassy Designs, Ltd. away from website design and into digital design to support professional photographers. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with THOUSANDS of you in helping you brand your business, extend your brand across your marketing materials and website, and enrich your custom design offerings for your clients.
I have said this many times, but I have to say it again, I have the best fans and customers a girl could ever dream of and I am so thankful and honored that you have trusted me to create or embellish your business identity and depended on me to bring you digital goodies that you can wow your customers with.
I have had a whirlwind of a ride this past year and I have loved every second of it! I'm looking forward to many more years to come. THANK YOU for inspiring me on a daily basis! I wouldn't be here without you!

Well, the year is officially half over -- how did that happen?!
As you may have heard I am taking a break from custom orders until sometime in the fall. Don't let that discourage you from contacting me though! I just need more time to get some new items created for the shop before my "idea list" is 2 miles long!!!

Hard to believe June is almost over! We celebrated my son's 4th birthday this week -- time is just flying by!! I hope everyone's summer is off to a great start!
I am officially booked through July with custom orders and I will be taking a break until this fall. I have a huge "idea list" and I want to focus on getting my ideas out of my head and into the Sassy Shop! So, stay tuned for LOTS of new items and soon!
I've also got some great promotions and giveaways planned -- so, be sure to check in on the Facebook fan page on a regular basis so you don't miss out! Also, just a friendly reminder -- all sales, specials, promotions, and giveaways end in EASTERN time as that is where my office and my web servers are located. So with that being said - in the event that you miss out on a sale or giveaway please do not email me asking me if I can extend it or make an exception for you. I can not. Well, we made it safely to Daytona Beach and the offices of Sassy Designs are operating almost business as usual. :) I've taken some extra time off to enjoy family time, the beach, and sight-seeing, but I've still been able to manage to get a couple new items in the shop and work on some custom orders, too!

Well, the month of May was a whirlwind! We had the big Sassy Birthday Bash Celebration - celebrating 8 years of business!! THANK YOU to all of myr family, friends, loyal customers, and supporting fans for standing behind me, spreading the word, and keeping the inspiration coming!! Sassy Designs wouldn't be here without YOU!!!
June is going to be another busy month for Sassy! We're going on the road to visit some family we haven't seen in awhile and meet the newest addition (she just celebrated her first birthday so we're thankful we get to see her before she graduates from high school!), so for a couple of weeks the office of Sassy Designs will be operating out of Daytona Beach, FL! I'll still be accessible via email/phone/the fan page and will respond just about as quickly as when it's business as usual so please do not hesitate to get in touch should you have a question, an issue, an idea, or a custom order request! I'd love to hear from you!
I'm currently booking custom projects for July. The month of June is chock full of projects already - new logos, custom splash pages, custom papers - but I would love to hear from you if you're in need of a custom project design! Since I have opened my shop I have been uploading orders manually as they came in - which meant that when I was swamped or on weekends it would sometimes take quite a few hours for me to get orders processed and download links emailed off. The new shopping cart will alleviate that step making it a better shopping experience for you while freeing up some time for me so I can create more things!
I will be taking the current shopping cart down tonight between 9:00pm and 10:00pm EST. I will be sure to post an update here and on the Facebook fan page and also on Twitter when the new shop is LIVE! If you're not yet a Facebook fan or following on Twitter be sure to use the links below to do so!
I want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you for being fans and friends and for all of the support over these past 7 months. This has been an amazing whirlwind that I have loved every second of! Without all of you I would not be here - YOU are my inspiration! THANK YOU!!

Wow! January was a complete whirlwind! Photoshop has been running practically 24/7 in my office while I crank out the latest custom design orders. I've managed to find bits of time to whip up some new goodies for the shop, too - but no time to get the shop updated with them!
Speaking of this shop of mine - the new shopping cart is in production!! I am happy to share the news that it has been successfully installed and configured and I am now in the process of adding all of the Sassy Designs goodies to the product catalog! I'm hoping to launch the new shop soon and I've got some great specials in store for you!
I'm also teaming up with Leah Stimmel again of Go4Pro Photography - she'll be creating some fabulous FREE goodies using one of my paper packs! Make sure you keep an eye on her site for the download! Next month I'm collaborating again with the girls of the Sketchy Thursdays scrapbooking blog. I'm whipping up a BRAND NEW mini kit just for this event. Since it will be during my birthday week it's going to be a birthday/party themed kit of digital goodies! After its debut on the ST blog it will be in the shop for all of you to enjoy!
I better get back to work - my "to do" list isn't getting any shorter! THANK YOU to all of you! The phasing out of the Etsy shop went much faster than I thought! I am happy to report that it is officially closed. Sassy Designs had a very good run on Etsy and I'm so thankful for everyone that made a purchase and spread the word!
The lovely Robyn of Paperie Boutique was extremely gracious and offered me another guest spot on her fabulous blog. Be sure to head on over there to check it out ? as usual there are FREEBIES included!! I wouldn't want any of you to miss out on them - brand new items that haven't even been listed in the store yet!

Happy new year! I hope everyone had a great time bringing in 2010 and starting a new decade!! Can you believe it?!
My year is off to a busy start! I have a long list of new things I'm working on for the shop and I'm back to accepting custom orders for digital papers, logo design, marketing design- anything you may need!! So, if you're in need of some fresh digital goodies customized to your business to start 2010 off right let me know! Right now I am booked through the end of January and looking at early February as a turn-around time for custom orders placed today and after.
2009 was a total success thanks to all of you! I was actually so busy between November and December that I didn't have a chance to keep both the shop here and the Etsy shop updated with the new stuff I created. I've made a decision to phase out the Etsy shop and plan to have it closed up by the end of February. I know this will make some of you sad, but I just don't have the time to keep everything updated so I have to cut out what I can! A HUGE thank you to everyone that shopped on Etsy and I am so thankful to have met all of you - I do hope you'll stick with me during the transition!!
There are some fun new things planned for this website. I have a new shopping cart being configured and installed. The change should go live March 1st if everything goes as planned. What does this mean for you? Even easier shopping and more user friendly navigation, instant download links! so instead of waiting on me to get your things uploaded you will receive a link right after placing your order, and coupon codes!!! I will be able to create coupon codes when I want to have a sale - instead of being required to recreate each individual Paypal button with the sale price!! You'll still be able to pay with Paypal since that is the most preferred method of payment - so it will be an easy experience and more user friendly, too! Of course you'll still get my personal customer service should you need anything or have any questions - but this change will free up so much more of time so I will be able to create even more new things for the shop for all of you to enjoy!!
