Terry A. Cutlip - Owner / Designer

I started designing websites in 1997. When I was first introduced to the online world I was fascinated with it! My amazement led me to explore how it all worked so that I could have a website of my own. I bought my first domain back in 1998 and read books and tutorials and taught myself everything I needed to know through trial and error and page design after page design.

I opened Sassy Designs, Ltd. in May 2002. My main focus was website design and I designed numerous website templates which I sold through my website and also offered custom design services. With website design came the need for me to be able to design everything a business could possibly need. From logos and business cards to custom marketing materials.

As the years went by I started branching out and doing more and more print design - advertisements, brochures, postcards. I had the opportunity to be the layout and ad designer for a local tabloid publication devoted to dogs. I really enjoyed working on smaller projects, especially after having my son in 2006. When my oldest and dearest friend started her own photography business she hired me on the side to design custom business forms for her so she could get her brand in place. Then she asked for my design help in creating custom birth announcements for her clients. That is ultimately what got me started designing card templates. Card templates then led me to designing digital papers and design elements for use in creating templates.

I love the freedom of just being able to create! The website projects that were my first design specialty were time consuming and had standards to meet, and clients that of course had their input. I felt like my creativity was always restricted to a degree. Now that I've switched gears my creativity can just flow. I was nervous to make the leap but I must say it is one of the best decisions I ever made!

Scott Cutlip : Graphic Artist / Illustrator

Scott was born to be creative. He has a natural ability to draw anything, from cartoons to portraits, to abstract ideas. He's had a pencil in his hand since he was old enough to hold one and he is rarely seen without a sketch book in his lap.

In the 1980's he began creating the first street art, or graffiti art - long before it was even recognized as an art form. He perfected his style and ability and that opened the door for him to enter into the world of tattooing, which he began doing in the late 1990's.

When Scott was just 15 years old he was hired by Congressman Dennis Kucinich's campaign team to design election posters and advertisements. He can work with all mediums - pen, pencil, paint - and can turn any idea into a masterpiece.

Once the digital age came about he began experimenting with the latest software - like Photoshop and Illustrator. While he realizes the ease and possibilities that these programs offer he likes to keep with what he knows best; a pencil and a sketch book.

Scott has helped to develop logos and advertising campaigns for Sassy Designs. His creativity is very apparent and his style lends a unique touch that our customers love.
